Viewing and Discussion of PBS Documentary Series
Asian Americans

In recognition of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, APABA is proud to co-sponsor with Asian Pacific Alumni of UCLA a screening of Episode 1 of the PBS five-part series ‘Asian Americans’ followed by a panel discussion by a group of distinguished speakers. ‘Asian Americans’ is a landmark program spanning 150 years that couldn’t arrive at a more timely moment in our history, as APA citizens become recently become the target of a rising number of race-based attacks.

Wednesday, May 20 at 5 pm

Speakers include:

Stewart Kwoh from Advancing Justice;
Donald Young from Center for Asian American Media; and
Prof. Karen Umemoto, Chair of UCLA Asian American Studies Center

The panelist discussion will take place at approximately 6:10 pm, after the screening.

The virtual screening and discussion is free to all registrants here.
