APABA-APALC Elder Law Day/Clinic

  • Saturday, September 22, 2012
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Angelus Plaza, 255 S. Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
APABA and the Asian Pacific American Legal Center will be hosting the third Elder Law Day at Angelus Plaza residential facility. Volunteers will be part of a clinic assisting low income seniors in the preparation of advance health care directives, durable powers of attorney, and wills.

We are currently seeking volunteer attorneys, law students, interpreters, and public notaries. No experience necessary; training will be provided at 9:00 a.m. Interpreters need not be legal professionals, but should be fluent in any of the following languages: Chinese, Korean, or Spanish.

Also, the planning committee for Elder Law Day is looking for volunteers to help plan, set-up, clean-up and generally administer the event, so there are many ways to get involved! If you would like to help with planning, please attend our planning meeting on Wednesday, September 12 (RSVP at planningelderlawday.eventbrite.com).

If you would like to volunteer at the event, please register online by September 10 at elderlawday.eventbrite.com. We will email you full details regarding volunteering a week before the event. If you have any questions, please email Deborah Yao at deborahyao@gmail.com.
